The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) has released more than ₱1 billion in cash gifts to qualified elderly Filipinos under the Expanded Centenarians Act (ECA), recognizing their contributions and celebrating their milestone ages.

As of August 12, 2025, a total of 96,463 senior citizens have received their cash gifts, broken down as follows:

80 years old – 49,164 beneficiaries
85 years old – 30,792 beneficiaries
90 years old – 12,193 beneficiaries
95 years old – 3,612 beneficiaries
100 years old and above – 702 beneficiaries
Under the law, centenarians receive ₱100,000 each, while senior citizens who reach milestone ages of 80, 85, 90, and 95 are given ₱10,000 each.

To ensure accessibility, especially in remote communities, the distribution is coordinated with local government units (LGUs) and the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) through NCSC’s regional centers.

NCSC Chairperson and CEO Dr. Mary Jean Loreche said the program highlights the government’s recognition of the elderly and its commitment to uplift their well-being.

“This milestone is a reflection of our deep respect for the elderly. Through the Expanded Centenarians Act, we aim to improve the quality of life of our beloved senior citizens while giving them the recognition they truly deserve,” said Dr. Loreche.

Qualified senior citizens or their families may apply through their respective OSCA offices or visit www.ncsc.gov.ph for more information.
