Cotabato City nun gets P110K birthday gift plus huge cake on her 100th birthday

A nun based in Cotabato City celebrated her 100th birthday with a PHP100,000 cash gift from the national government, the Cotabato City Senior Citizen Social Pension has disclosed.
Sister Lily Gerald Padua Oliver of Barangay Rosary Heights X, also received an additional PHP10,000 courtesy of the city government headed by Mayor Bruce “BM” Matabalao.
Sister Lily celebrated her 100th on September 17. Joining the celebration were members of her congregation and officials and employees of the city government who brought food for the event.
The PHP100,000 cash gift was personally handed to her by Regional Director Loreto B. Cabaya Jr of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office XII.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Mayor Matabalao sent Sister Lily separate plaques of appreciation to express their gratitude to her contributions to her country and her city
She also received a huge birthday cake as part of the centenarian celebration.
Joining the well-wishers were Cheribin Mena Viloria, head of the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development and Arturo R. Calingasan, chief of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs of Cotabato City.
Wheel-chair bound but still looking healthy and mentally alert, Sister Lily thanked her visitors for celebrating one of her happiest birthdays with her.
