ILIGAN CITY - Senior citizens who have celebrated milestone birthdays of 80, 85, 90 and 95 were set to receive their PhP10,000 birthday gifts this week, as provided by the Expanded Centenarians Law.

This was revealed by Association of Senior Citizens in Iligan president Edgar Navales on Wednesday (July 23).

Navales said 255 milestone birth celebrators were listed among the recipients of the cash gift granted by the national government.

Start of the distribution of the cash birthday present was scheduled on Friday (July 25).

Navales said the city government has contacted recipients who will compose the first batch of beneficiaries of the law whose milestone birthdays were celebrated from January 1 to June 30, 2025.

According to Navales the second batch whose birthdays fall from July 1 to December 31, were expected to get their birthday gifts on a later date.
