The Land Transportation Office has suspended the license of the driver suspected to be involved in a hit-and-run incident that caused serious injuries to a 74-year-old woman in Marikina City.
Police disclosed that the victim will press criminal charges against the driver and the car owner.
The LTO also issued an alarm for the vehicle he was driving, reportedly a Chery Tiggo 5X Pro with license plate NFS 6570.
Operatives from the Marikina City police station and the LTO have been sent to seize the vehicle.

As a result of the impact, the victim was thrown to the ground. She suffered injuries on her forehead and other parts of her body.
The LTO issued a show cause order to the driver or registered owner of the SUV on Tuesday.
In the LTO directive, the “registered owner, together with the designated driver, was ordered to appear before the Intelligence and Investigation Division of the LTO on September 1 at 3 pm.
The suspects were also directed to submit a written explanation to show cause why they should not be charged administratively, according to the SCO signed by Renante Melitante, LTO IID chief.
“Due to the gravity of the incident, the motor vehicle with Plate No. NFS 6570 is hereby placed under alarm status, and the driver’s license of the driver operating the subject vehicle shall be placed under ninety (90) day preventive suspension, which shall be surrendered immediately upon proper identification, pending investigation of the case,” the SCO added.
