Vice President Sara Duterte has no problem undergoing a neuropsychiatric examination to test her mental state but she should be accompanied by all congressional candidates who must, on the other hand, be subjected to drug tests.

In response to a challenge by the so-called Young Guns of Congress, Duterte said she agrees with the idea but the young solons must also allow themselves to be examined for drug use.

“Wala akong problema doon. Game tayo. I will call that a neuropsychiatric exam,” she told reporters during an interview on Tuesday, three day after she blasted President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. with accusations of incompetence.

“Pero dapat lahat ng mga young guns na kandidato, lahat ng mga congressional candidates ay magpa-drug test… As a voter, I demand na magpa-drug test sil. Dahil kung unstabler ako, sa paninign ko unstable din sila,” she said.

Duterte has been suspecting that the series of tirade against her in the House of Representatives is being orchestrated by Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Romualdez is being perceived to be her opponent in the 2025 presidential elections.

After being bombarded with negative publicity over alleged irregularities in the disbursement of confidential and intelligence funds of the Office of the Vice President, Duterte fired back at Marcos whom she accused of incompetence.

She also threatened to dig up the remains of his father at the Libingan ng mga Bayan and throw them in the West Philippine Sea.

Duterte granted another media interview on Tuesday and assailed her critics.

“I’m not like them. People seem to say things like I am crazy or desperate… but why would i be desperate. I’m the vicre president of the Republic of the Philippines,” she said.

She added: “I’m not going anywhere.”

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla also received a measure of Duterte’s anger.

“Let’s pray for the Philippines because we have a secretary of justice who does not understand the law,” she stated.
