Police immediately arrested Eugenio Caballes of Barangay Lahug after fatally shooting his son, Kenn.

Luisa, wife of the suspect, said he had no intention of killing their son.

The victim’s mother recalled that the two argued at around 7 pm when Eugenio ordered Kenn to turn off the lights in their house.

At around 10 am, Luisa woke up and noticed that the lights were still o, prompting her to remind Kenn to do as he was ordered by his father.

However, Kenn got irked and shouted at his mother, prompting Eugenio to reprimand their son.

The argument turned violent when Eugenio allegedly took out a gun and went out of their house. It was here that Kenn, who was armed with a piece of wood, struck his father with it on the neck.

Luisa claimed that the gun went off as her husband fell to the ground. The bullet hit Kenn in the head.

According to her the two never argued before although she admitted that he causes trouble whenever he is high on illegal drugs.
