Still smarting from the devastating effects of three powerful storms, the Philippines will have to brace for four separate storm systems that have simultaneously been spotted in the West Pacific.
Described by weather forecast experts as a rare occurrence, the four storms have already been named. This is reportedly the first time that this happened at the same time in the month of November since 1951.
The CNN reported that this is also the first time that such weather disturbances has happened in any month since seven years ago.
Japan’s Meteorological Agency has named the typhoons as Yinxing, Toraji, Usagi and ManYi.
Over the past two weeks, Philippines was simultaneously battered by four typhoons, including Toraji.
Thousands have already been evacuated to safer grounds as typhoon Toraji or NIka pummeled through huge areas in the country causing relative limited damage. Nod deaths were reported.
Meanwhile typhoon Usagi is reportedly a mere two days away from making a landfall in Luzon.
Learning from the deadly devastation of Super Typhoon Kong-rey (Kristine) that killed over 160 people, the national government has directed local government units to conduct preemptive measures that will avert further property destruction and death.
