Body count rises, massive displacement reported as Middle East war rages

3/3/26, 11:21 AM

The body count mounted as US and Israel military forces continued to pound with fresh missile attacks targets in Iran, mostly in Tehran while Iran, backed by Hezbollah of Lebanon, fiercely retaliated by sending missiles to areas in Israel and restricted the passage of oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian Red Crescent Society disclosed that over 500 people had been killed since the conflict started over the weekend.

Hezbollah ignored the warning of the Lebanese government by launching more dcrones at northern Israel, prompting the Israeli military to hit back.

Over 30,000 people have been displaced in Lebanon as a result of the Israeli missile strike that was triggered by Hezbollahs bombings in Israel.

Israel and eight other Middle East countries have also reported casualties as a result of the war.

Both US and Israel leaders admitted that an end to the war may not be forthcoming.

The American government said its embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia suffered a drone strike that triggered fire.

This signaled the State Department to call on all US citizens still in Middle East countries to leave as the risk to their lives has risen.

In a bid to sow economic chaos and stop the US-Israel attack, ther Iranian Reolutionary Guards bowed to “burn any ship”, apparently referring to oil tankers, from passing the strait of Hormuz.

This route is vital for oil and gas supply deliveries.
