BBM shares vision for 2024 in New Year’s Day message

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. vowed on New Year’s day to streamline bureaucratic processes, continue to provide effective social services program and give all out support to farmers to guarantee food security in 2024.
Marcos, along with the First Family extended warm greetings for a prosperous 2024 while reflecting on the significant milestones of the past year, expressing eagerness to forge ahead and create a better future.
In his New Year's message, President Marcos conveyed his wishes for peace and prosperity, emphasizing the collective efforts needed to achieve progress. He acknowledged the accomplishments of the preceding year and articulated a resolute commitment to further advancements through dedicated efforts.
“Let the dream of revitalized Philippines - a Bagong Pilipinas - guide our endeavor as we bring forth peace, progress, and prosperity for all,” he said
The chief executive stated: “We look back to the past year pleased with what we have done. We look forward to the new year with the pledge to build better and more. We have set high hopes for the days ahead and we know that these can only be achieved with hard work.”
Highlighting the achievements of 2023, President Marcos emphasized the establishment of 33 additional specialty centers, the construction of over 2,000 classrooms, and the creation of seven more cold chain facilities. Moreover, he underscored the administration's success in securing investments in renewable energy, with contracts amounting to approximately 121,000 megawatts.
The President noted the completion of eight water supply projects and revealed plans for 147 additional projects in the coming year, aiming to enhance access to clean water.
President Marcos pledged to streamline bureaucratic processes that hinder prompt service delivery.
He stated: “When projects get delayed, progress is denied our people.”
Ensuring swift issuance of documents and licenses remained a priority to prevent unnecessary setbacks in public service.
Commitment to supporting Filipinos through government programs like TUPAD, AICS, and MAIP was reaffirmed, aiming not only to provide safety nets but also sustainable solutions.
These initiatives, President Marcos emphasized, serve as vital support systems for skilled workers, offering pathways to realizing their aspirations.
Acknowledging the crucial role of farmers in sustaining the nation's food security, President Marcos reiterated the administration's commitment to assisting them with necessary resources, from seedlings to fertilizers, enabling their contribution to feeding the nation.
President Marcos concluded with the government’s “New Year’s Resolution,” emphasizing the paramount importance of quality service to uplift every Filipino. He encouraged unity, faith, and a collective commitment to shared progress, assuring that success is attainable through mutual trust and dedication to national values.
Expressing gratitude for the people's trust, President Marcos thanked the Filipino citizens for their confidence in the administration's endeavors and commitment to advancing the nation.
