

PNP's 5-minute response time enhanced by state-of-the-art command center in Camp Crame

CAMP CRAME, Quezon City — Although already operational since it's inception, the Philippine National Police Command Center (PCC) has been relaunched with an additional analytic system that upgrades its capabilities in responding to emergencies and crisis situations called through 911 by the public.
According to PCC chief Colonel Ramon Pranada, the relaunch of the command center marks a major step forward in strengthening the PNP’s 5-minute response time as it now upgrades the strategy by institutionalizing its monitoring system to better and efficientlyw serve the public.
“The PCC is actually the brainchild of our PNP chief (General Nicolas Torre III). It reflects our commitment for a faster and more efficient, technology-driven police response, especially during emergencies and critical incidents. The initiative also supports the nationwide standardization of the 911 emergency hotline in accordance with the PNP’s Standard Operating Procedures," Pranada explained.
Situated at the heart of the PNP Headquarters in Camp General Rafael T. Crame in Quezon City, the Command Center is equipped to provide real-time monitoring, rapid situational analysis and coordinated deployment of police units across the country's 18 regions.
"Its relaunch underscores the PNP’s strong commitment to achieving the Chief PNP’s goal of a 3 to 5-minute response time while enhancing its overall public safety services," Pranada added.
To showcase the center’s capabilities, the PCC chief conducted a media tour of the Center's facilities, including its war room, server and technical installations. The tour demonstrated how emergency information is received, processed and coordinated with field units to enable swift, synchronized responses. The activity highlighted seamless communication from the central command hub down to ground-level operatives.
“This Command Center is more than just a facility—it represents our unwavering commitment to serve and protect the Filipino people,” PNP chief Gen. Torre, who also attended the occasion. “With this platform, we can monitor developments on the ground in real time and respond with greater speed and accuracy.”
Torre proudly enthused that the PCC is the embodiment of their vow to provide give genuine service and uphold their desire to move closer to the people through efficient police operations.
