SM MALL OF ASIA ARENA, Pasay City — Last year was a very successful inaugural run for the Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City (MUPH-QC) and it's back, ready to discover its next representative for the prestigious Miss Universe Philippines 2025 competition.

MUPH-QC Organizers announced that this year's aspirants will not only embody beauty and grace but will inspiring life stories of the country’s most beautiful women.

The candidates were selected from various parts of the city and pageant organizers proudly disclosed that the lucky women that were chosen bring diverse advocacies and unique experiences to the stage.

They include a cancer survivor, a flight attendant and licensed student pilot and 56-year-old beauty queen, which indicates the pageant's evolution to a local competition that look to more than just physical appearances.

Seasoned pageant queen and cancer survivor Patricia Logdat, 21,of Barangay South Triangle joined the beauty competition to champion cancer awareness and through her project 'Bandana', she aims to support cancer patients, especially children, and raise awareness about their struggles.

Another candidate, 20-year-old Jamaica SI at of Bgy. Baesa is a flight attendant and licensed student pilot who claims to break barriers in the traditionally male-dominated aviation industry. Sicat's advocacy focuses on inspiring women to pursue careers in aerospace through initiatives like 'Girls in Aviation Day'.

In the meantime and a surprise to most, Catherine Muguerza at 56 is the oldest in the Top 10 candidates. Muguerza, a mother of four, hails from Bgy. Sangandaan and she says she is fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a beauty queen.

"It's really an honor and a privilege at my age, and I haven't been bashed yet. I'd like to be an inspiration to everyone. This is a blessing for me, especially since I'm close to becoming a senior citizen," she enthused while stressing she advocates for senior women's empowerment to prove that age is no barrier to pursuing dreams.

Other candidates in the Top 10 are designer-planner Carmel Anne Aquino, 25, of Bgy. Project 6, who is returning to the competition with her 'Carmel 2.0' mantra; student and seasoned paeant contender Melody Docog, 20, of Bgy. West Kamias, who is committed to raising mental health awareness; Australian-Filipino psychology graduate Zoe Honeyman, 23, of Bgy. Tatalon, who advocates love for community service and mental health;

Dubai-raised multiple pageant titlist Hanna Amistad, 20, of Bgy. Socorro, . With multiple pageant titles under her belt, who brings on stage her effort to celebrate women's empowerment and LGBTQ+ inclusivity;
flight attendant and pilot-in training Jam Co, 20, of Bgy. Baesa, who is a passionate advocate for women in aviation; interior designer Shaina Bello, 25, of Bgy. Pasong, who seeks to challenge stereotypes in pageantry while promoting local crafts and design culture; and working student Andrea Alonzo, 20, of Bgy. E Rodriguez Sr., who is following the footsteps of her role model, Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo, to inspire resilience among women.

The Grand Coronation Night will take place on February 2, at 7:00 in the evening at the SM Skydome in North Edsa, featuring special appearances by Manhunt International 2022 winner Kevin Dasom, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 finalist Michele Gumabao, and Miss Universe Asia Chelsea Manalo.
