BAGUIO CITY - Vowing to continue his fight for good governance, re-elected Mayor Benjamin Magalong was inducted into office for a third and final term on Monday (June 30).
Magalong has not only become a anti-corruption model in his turf, he has also become popular for exposing on social media the various forms of graft committed by corrupt officials of the government.
He took his oath of office before Aurora Hill South Central Barangay Chairman Levy Lloyd Orcales.
“Good governance, consistency is the key word,” declared Magalong, a retired police official who graduated from the Philippine Military Academy here.
He pledged not to stop pursuing clean, honest and transparent governance as he serves his last three years in office.
“We will not let you down, we will not give up on the principle of good governance,” he said.
Magalong said his administration will remain behind the seven-core agenda that he has pursued during his early years as Baguio City’s chief executive, namely: environment land use and energy; climate and disaster resilience; urban regeneration, youth empowerment, sustainable economic development, smart city management and good governance.
