INTRAMUROS, Manila — Printing of ballots for the 2025 midterm elections have breached more than nine million after printing resumed at the National Printing Office (NPO), the Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced today.
According to Comelec chairperson George Erwin Garcia, 9,460,780 ballots (and counting) have been printed as of 7:00 in the evening yesterday, February 2, 2025.
62,646,420 more ballots are needed to complete the 72.1 million ballots for the 2025 national and local elections (NLE).
The poll body aims to print 1.5 million ballots daily to make up for the shortened time frame for the production of official ballots. Printing of ballots was temporarily delayed following the issuance of the Supreme Court (SC) of several restraining orders against the disqualification of some aspirants.
