Caloocan City provides P2k augmentation pay for public school teachers

CALOOCAN CITY HALL, Caloocan City — Mayor Dale Gonzalo 'Along' Malapitan has announced that public school teacher in the city will receive a monthly augmentation pay worth ₱2,000 after the city council approved the allocation for the said benefit.

According to Mayor Malapitan, in this times of crisis when the people are beset by the impacts of inflation and skyrocketing price increases on prime commodities, it is only proper for the government to initiate efforts to mitigate the hardship in cost of living experienced by most.

"Our beloved public school teachers have reasons to celebrate this New Year because they will now be receiving the monthly augmentation pay that I promised during my city address late last year," the local chief executive noted.

He also thanked city council members, led by its presiding officer Vice Mayor Karina Teh, for their support in his programs focusing on the local education sector, especially for students, teachers and nonteaching personnel.

In ending, Malapitan enthusef that the monthly augmentation pay would serve as an extra allowance for the city's public school teachers.
