MALITA, Davao Occidental - Decomposing bodies of a 17-year-old woman and her infant son were found inside their home in Davao Occidental on Thursday (May 2), police reported yesterday.

Police said the remains of the two vicimts bore hack wounds in the head and neck.

The discovery of the bodies came after their neighbors complaint of foul odor emanating from the house of the victims in Barangay Talogoy, Malita town.

Investigators recovered a bolo from the crime scene. It is believed to be the weapon used in murdering mother and son.

Malita police have issued a bulletin for the arrest of the woman’s live-in partner who is believed to be behind the killings.

Investigators are convinced that jealousy is the motive behind the murders.

The unnamed suspect was reportedly the respondent in a barangay case filed by the victim on April 15.

It is believed that the victims may have been slain on April 29 although their bodies were discovered three days later.
