John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr of the Beatles will each have their films about their lives to be released in 2027.
Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes will direct four feature-length biopics chronicling the story of the band through the eyes of its members.
Sony Pictures Entertainment said the films will "intersect to tell the astonishing story of the greatest band in history."
This marks the first time the band members gave their full support to a scripted film about their lives.
Mendes, who directed "American Beauty," "Skyfall," and "1917," said he was honored to helm the project in which he will be given full access to the Beatles' life stories and music.
The cast has yet to be revealed.
One of the most influential bands in history, the Beatles launched 12 studio albums, 5 live albums, 51 compilation albums, 36 EPs, and more.
The band split in the 1970s after the members decided to pursue solo careers.
Lennon was shot dead in New York in 1980 while Harrison died of lung cancer in 2001.
The last two living Beatles McCartney and Starr released in 2023 their "last" song titled "Now and Then," which was produced with the help of artificial intelligence.
