Humingi ng paumanhin ang Quezon City Police District (QCPD) nitong Martes matapos kumalat ang sensitibong video ng yumaong aktor na si Ronaldo Valdez.

Lubos daw nilang ikinalulungkot ang "lapse of judgment" ng ilan sa kanilang tauhan, maging ang naging epekto nito sa pamilya ng aktor.

"The QCPD extends its sincere apologies to the Gibbs family regarding the recent incident where a member of our police force inappropriately took a video of the late Mr. Ronaldo Valdez," sabi nito sa isang pahayag.

"We acknowledge the gravity of this lapse in judgment of some of our personnel, and we deeply regret any distress this may have caused," dagdag pa nito.

Walong pulis ng QCPD ang sinibak sa pwesto kaugnay ng pagkalat ng video.

Nahaharap na raw ang mga ito sa administrative charges, kabilang ang neglect of duty, grave misconduct, at violation ng cybercrime law, ayon sa QCPD.

Maghahain din daw ng kaso laban sa mga sibilyan na nagpakalat ng video.

Noong Lunes, hiniling ng pamilya ng singer at aktor na si Janno Gibbs na mag-public apology ang pulisya dahil umano sa maling paghawak sa imbestigasyon ng kanilang ama.

Bukod sa pagkalat ng sensitibong video, hinanakit din ni Janno na napagbintangan siyang suspek sa pagkamatay ng kanyang ama.

"Such negligent handling of the investigation, and the consequent media attacks against my family caused us immense emotional distress. We strongly denounce, in the strongest terms possible, the evident mismanagement of the investigation and mishandling of sensitive data showing apparent lapses and breaches of confidentiality on the part of the Investigation Team," ani Janno sa kaniyang statement kahapon.

"We therefore demand that the PNP and the officers directly accountable for the lapses in the investigation make a public apology for the breach of trust and the trauma caused to my family," dagdag pa niya.

Nilinaw naman ni Janno na wala silang balak na kasuhan pa ang pulisya, lalo na't mayroon na umanong gumugulong na imbestigasyon ang kapulisan hingil sa mga pulis na sangkot sa kaso.
