KAPITOLYO, Lungsod Pasig — Nakapiit man ngayon si dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo sa Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory, pinagpapaliban ng korte ang pinal na kautusan ukol sa kanyang transfer mula sa Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center sa Kampo Crame, Quezon City.

“The Chief of the NCR CIDG Custodial Facility, Camp Crame, Quezon City is directed to hold in abeyance the transfer of the custody of the accused-movant pending the resolution of the subject motion,” nakasaad sa court order.

“This is to safeguard the rights of the accused-movant and so as not to deprive her of the remedies that are available to her under the Rules of Court,” dagdag dito.

Kahapon ng umaga, nilipat si Guo sa piitan sa Pasig batay sa kautusan ng Pasig City RTC Branch 167, na siyang naglilitis sa kaso ng dating alkalde na qualified human trafficking at walang bail o piyansa.

Batay sa medical examination ng dating alkalde, nakitaan ng impkesyon ito sa kanyang baga kaya hinayag na nararapat lamang na pangalagaan angkalusugan nito at gayun din ng ibang mga nakapiit sa Pasig City Jail na maaaring mahawa.

Ayon naman sa abogado ni Guo na si Atty. Nicole Jamilla, naghain sila ng urgent motion para ilipat ang kanyang pagkakulong sa PNP Custodial Center sa dahilang may mga banta umano laban sa buhay ng kanilang kliyente.

“So naka-set for hearing siya on September 27 on Friday simultaneous with the arraignment. And with that, pending the resolution of the motion, the court issued an order to hold in abeyance her transfer here to PNP Custodial,” sabi pa ni Jamilla.

Hinayag ng abogada na nakikipagkoordinasyon sila ngayon sa mga awtoridad para maibalik si Guo sa Kampo Crame.

“As of today we will be coordinating first with the authorities kasi ang napag-usapan, ang update is that CIDG talaga ang may physical custody sa kaniya,” paglilinaw nito.

Ayon naman kay Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jail Superintendent Jayrex Joseph Bustinera, susundin nila ang bagong kautusan para ibalik si Guo sa PNP Custodial Center.

“Wala naman po nakalagay dyan na dalhin namin pabalik. If may new order to transfer, then we will comply (The order does not say anything about transferring her back. If there is a new order to transfer, then we will comply),” ani Bustinera.
