The top performing universities in Asia, according to THE, are: Tsinghua University (China); Peking University (China); National University of Singapore (Singapore); Nanyang Technology University (Singapore): University of Tokyo (Japan); University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong); Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China); Fudan University (China); Zhejiang University (China( and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong).

De La Salle University and the University of the Philippines were placed in the 501-600 ranking. While the next 100 saw Mapua University and the University of Santo Tomas in the list.

In the 2023 THE Asia University rankings, Ateneo placed 84th out of the 669 institutions evaluated. It topped the Philippine universities included in the list.

The THE classified several Philippine universities as “Reporter” or schools that submitted data for ranking but failed to meet the criteria set.

The HEI’s are: Cebu Technical University, Central Luzon State University, Mariano Marcos State University, Mindanao State University, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Tarlac Agricultural University, University of Easter Philippines, University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines and Visayas State University.
